Our garnì lies in the heart of the
nature reserve Lago Nembia. The German poet Victor von Scheffel had already come in the sway of this magnificent and unspoilt place in 1885. On his way to Venice, he described the surroundings with these words: “Silent and secluded, the surface of the water gleams among the rocks and the moraine hills that embrace it, while timid horses pasture among bushes...”.
Even if nowadays horses do not pasture here anymore, from our
comfort rooms you can easily see roe-deers crossing the lake on the stony ground early in the morning.
WWF Oasis Lake Nembia and its Educational Trail
The
nature reserve Lago Nembia preserves the lake’s beautiful nature countryside with its flora and fauna. Thanks to the educational trail opened by WWF in cooperation with Enel, you can get to know the plants and wildlife species of this amazing territory. You can reach this 3-km circular path directly from our hotel and cover it easily on foot or by bike: it only takes one hour and a half. The fourteen panels leading to Lake Molveno give detailed information on the lake and the animals and plants that live here.
The Alpine Huts of Nembia

Lake Nembia (
altitude: about 800 m) leads you to the ancient Alpine huts of Nembia on wonderful hiking tours. Come and discover these typical buildings partly carved in the huge rocks, which gave origin to the lake.
